Multimedia courses on engineering fundamentals
An excellent series of courses on engineering fundamentals have been developed by Prof. Kurt Gramoll and associates of University of Oklahoma and are available for public access on the web. These courses incorporate multimedia elements including graphics, diagrams, audio, video, animation and simulation to enhance their effectiveness. They also include relevant case studies and examples to help students understand the abstract fundamental concepts and apply them to real-life problems.
These multimedia courses on engineering fundamentals are relevant to various engineering fields such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Technology and Aeronautical Engineering. We are adopting three of the ebooks for the courses in Education For All: Introduction to Engineering Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics and Introductory Thermodynamics.
